Computer literacy, future access key — Hon. Idimogu

REITERATING the importance of Information Communication Technology(ICT), a Lagos lawmaker representing Oshodi/ Isolo 2 constituency,has empowered 341 students in order to enable them fit in for future opportunities and afford them leverage when in need of gainful employments.
Honourable Chief Jude Emeka Idimogu, member Lagos State House of Assembly finance the scheme to commemorate his hundred days in office, noted that the empowerment will be in phases, as the next phase will take care of students in the Ejigbo axis of the constituency.
Speaking at the program held to mark his 100 days in office, at Olokun Nursery and Primary school, Ire-Akari Estate,Ilasamaja, the legislator opined that the trend ruling the globe is ICT and the future leaders need be compliant so as to fit in amongst their pairs effectively, he appreciated the participants who dared to partake in the Computer training programme, stressing that it is a dividend of democracy at their door step, which they need to maximize.
He noted that a number of roads are going through palliative repairs, especially Oke-Afa, Jakande Estate/Ejigbo Roads, Okota Roundabout/Ceke Roads among others.
The trained accountant turned legislator, promised to hand down #25,000 each to three selected individuals through the head of Judab computer school, Jide Olaitan; the beneficiaries includes, Master Udoh Abraham, Miss Alarape Olufunke and Miss Oloruntoni Odesola, who were seen to have performed excellently well in the scheme.
” I run an open door policy,open to constructive criticism and advice, pertaining to how we got this far I must admit it is a team work not minding the fact that this is the constituency of the Lagos APC chairman but given the team work we end up victorious and we are not resting on our oars as the local council election is our next target and we will excel”. He said.
The minority whip, Hon. Sangodara Mosunmola Rotimi who won the former Governor Fashola constituency to Peoples Democratic Party, chipped in words of encouragement to the youngsters, citing the need to maximize the opportunity afforded them via the training.
Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe who graced the occasion to associate with the winning team, noted that it is a daunting task and worthy feat achieved by the lawmakers who went the whole hug to deliver the constituency, promising that the best is what the people should expect from PDP representatives.
The chairman of the occasion, PDP chairman Oshodi/Isolo Chief Dele Ashiru, lauds Hon. Idimogu’s unparalleled feat in hundred days, targetted at the future leaders, noting that it is a right step in the right direction.
