Three former presidents and the current Senate president are in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari now at Aso Rock at a Council of State meeting.
Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, AbdulSalami Abubakar and Bukola Saraki are currently meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the presidential villa, Abuja.
Also in attendance are governors, some ministers and former chief justices of Nigeria.
The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmood Yaqub, was also present.
Two days ago, Obasanjo hurled a barrage of verbal missiles against Buhari in a letter accusing him of planning to right the forthcoming election. The ex-president also hammered INEC, saying it’s not neutral.
He said Buhari is also behaving like the late despot, President Sani Abacha.
Responding, the presidency said Obasanjo needed medical attention.
When Information Minister Lai Mohammed announced the meeting last week, he listed issues on the agenda, including the new national minimum wage and the 2019 elections.
