As the race for the presidency heats up in Nigeria, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has come under fire for seeking to retain power via the ballots next year.

In a post on his Twitter handle some hours ago, former Ministerial aide, Henry Shield Nwazuruahu, slammed the ruling party over what he described as a bold-faced political campaign to remain in Aso Rock beyond 2023, despite the lingering problems Nigerians are going through under the Muhammadu Buhari-led APC regime.

In his tweet, Henry, who was once a Special Assistant to a former FCT Minister, questioned the rationale behind the APC’s presidential campaign amid university strikes and unending fuel scarcity in several parts of the country.

In an election year, ASUU is on strike, students are home from school, citizens are sleeping at fuel stations and APC is still campaigning to retain Aso Rock? Walahi, the Party get mind,” he wrote.

As expected, Henry’s remarks drew the attention of some of his followers who trooped to the comments section to air their different opinions.

While some persons agreed with his criticism of the ruling party, others, however, slammed him for it.
