3 Foods you should avoid combining with banana

Banana is a very nutritious fruit and very healthy to the body. It is very sweet, satisfying and tender to eat. Aside from their health benefits to the body, care has to be taken when combining them with another food as such combinations could alter the body system and bring undesirable effects.

Bananas come with a lot of health benefits to children and adults as well. If you want to get the best ingredients that are beneficial to the health from bananas, stop combining them with the following foods

1.  Melon and yoghurt

Bananas should never be combined with melon. The simple reason is that excess potassium ions level in the blood can lead to abnormal heart rhythms, increase the rate of kidney failure and even cause pains of the joint and it has also been discovered that melon and their yoghurt are rich in this mineral hence should be avoided. A combination of banana and yoghurt causes diseases like diarrhoea, abdominal pain and other digestive system disorders.

2.  Sweet potatoes

It is very dangerous when sweet potatoes are combined with bananas. These two foods have a very high level of fibre and this makes it difficult for them to digest. When eaten together, they delay digestion thus causing food to remain in the gastrointestinal tract for a long time hence leading to other diseases like acid flux and intoxication. Even if you feel like combining these foods, give a space of 1 hour before eating the next.

3. Milk

Never consume bananas with milk no matter how tempted you are. Milk and banana are some of the most toxin-forming food mixtures as they can cause heaviness. It may also make your mind slow and your body lethargic. If you wish to enjoy an occasional banana smoothie, make sure you add green cardamom, cinnamon powder or nutmeg powder to aid digestion.
