A serviceman with the Royal Malaysian Air Force on Friday shot dead three of his colleagues before taking his own life at a base in the Malaysian part of Borneo.
Two of the men died at the Kota Samarahan air force base before a third, who managed to reach a nearby clinic, later succumbed to his wounds.
Air Force chief, Ackbal Abdul Samad, said there would be an investigation.
He called on affected families to remain patient while the Police try to figure out the gunman’s motives.
Aidi Ismail, police chief of Sarawak, the eastern state where the shootings took place, said he was “shocked and horrified” by the rampage.
He described Malaysia as usually “a peaceful place’’.
