63 vigilante members bandits killed disobeyed military order

The 63 members of  Yan-Sa-Kai reportedly killed by bandits at Anemi, a village under Zuru Emirate of Kebbi State, on Moday, refused to heed military order .

The armed ethnic group and the military were in combat with a company of bandits, and it appeared the joint forces were overwhelmed.

According to a source the Daily Trust interviewed, the army commander of the joint operation, considering the situation, ordered a tactical withdrawal.

Yan-sa-kai, however, kept chasing the terrorists.

The bandits eventually led the militiamen into an ambush.

Other bandits concealed in trees opened fire on the vigilantes, killing over 60, including a father and his son.

The military, however, came back and launched aerial attacks on the criminal, and the bombardment went on as of Tuesday.
