A well known Nigerian human right activist and social commentator, Adeyanju Deji has taken to his official Facebook page to react following a trending video of the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Gregory Obi, in which he said his son who is over 30 years does not have a car because he has to work to buy his own car.
According to the video, the presidential aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Peter Gregory Obi, while speaking to a group revealed that his 30 years old son does not have a car yet, adding that he has to work in order to get himself a car.
This particular statement made by Peter Obi has attracted a lot of attention as many Nigerians, including Adeyanju Deji took to the social media platform to react.
While sharing on his official Facebook page, the former Head of News Media for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Adeyanju Deji made it known that Peter Obi’s story about his son is completely unnecessary, adding that this is not the kind of message he should be selling to the people living in the poverty capital of the world.
Further speaking, Adeyanju Deji stated that the people need massage of hope, adding that the citizens are tired of poverty related stories of I have no shoes, I have no house, I am poor. Adeyanju Deji said all those stories are expired, asking Peter Obi, how can he lift the citizens out of poverty?.
