Air Peace, West Africa’s leading airline, has announced the resumption of monthly direct flights connecting Lagos to the Caribbean, specifically Barbados, via Antigua.

The service is set to commence on May 24, 2026, and will be the only direct air link from West and Central Africa to the Caribbean.

In a statement released on Thursday, the airline said the flights are designed to provide seamless travel options for business, leisure, and diaspora passengers, enabling convenient access from across the region directly to the Caribbean.

Passengers traveling from other parts of West and Central Africa can connect through Lagos to the Caribbean, with the flight schedule as follows:

Lagos → Antigua: 06:00 – 15:00

Antigua → Barbados: 16:30 – 17:50

Barbados → Antigua: 13:00 – 14:20

Antigua → Lagos: 15:50 – 01:50 (+1)

The airline emphasized that the return flights will follow the same routing, ensuring consistent connectivity between the two regions.

“This initiative underscores Air Peace’s commitment to bridging continents and fostering stronger economic, cultural, and tourism ties between Nigeria and the Caribbean,” the airline said. “The service offers convenient, reliable, and competitive travel options for passengers across both markets.”

Air Peace also confirmed that tickets for the Lagos–Antigua–Barbados route are now available through all official Air Peace booking channels and travel agencies, advising passengers to book early to secure preferred travel dates.

The resumption of these flights is expected to enhance trade, tourism, and diaspora connections, further solidifying Nigeria’s aviation presence on the transatlantic route.
