Air Peace has dismissed allegations of fraud regarding its planned direct flight service between Lagos and São Paulo, stating that the process remains on course and is being conducted in accordance with standard aviation practices.

The airline issued the clarification in response to recent claims questioning the legitimacy of its planned route to the Brazilian city, which would mark a significant expansion of Air Peace’s international operations.

In a statement addressing the allegations, Air Peace management emphasized that all procedures related to the establishment of the Lagos–São Paulo direct flight are progressing as expected and are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

The airline assured stakeholders and the traveling public that the necessary arrangements, including regulatory approvals, aircraft deployment plans, and operational logistics, are being handled transparently and professionally.

Air Peace did not provide specific details about the nature of the fraud allegations or their source, but maintained that such claims are baseless and do not reflect the reality of the airline’s preparations for the new route.

The proposed Lagos–São Paulo service is expected to strengthen connectivity between Nigeria and Brazil, two nations with significant historical, cultural, and economic ties. The route would also provide a more convenient travel option for the large Nigerian diaspora community in Brazil and facilitate business and tourism between both countries.

Air Peace has become Nigeria’s leading carrier in recent years, expanding its international network to include destinations across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and most recently, direct flights to China and other parts of Asia.

The airline has indicated that further updates on the Lagos–São Paulo route, including launch dates and flight schedules, will be announced in due course as the approval and preparation process continues.
