A renown female activist, Aisha Yusuf, has slammed Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State following a trending video of Ogun State Association of Local Government Chairmen apologizing to the governor for his criticism by a local government chairman in the state.

The female activist had berated Governor Abiodun, stating,

“Governor @dabiodunMFR is not ashamed of this charade?”
The trending video had relayed:
“This evening, Ogun State Association of Local Government Chairmen – ALGON, Chaired by the Chairman of Ijebu-Ode LG, Hon. Emilola Gazal, led other members to tender their unreserved apology to Governor @dabiodunMFR – CON over the recent comment made by one of them, Mr. Wale Adedayo.
“The meeting took place at the Governor’s office in Oke-Mosan.”
The said local government chairman has made allegation of diversion of local government allocation from the Federation Account against the governor.

Aisha Yusuf subsequently advocated for full autonomy for local governments in the country, perhaps, to forestall further re-occurrence of incidence like this.
