The final, if Ajax make it, would be the Dutch club’s 19th UEFA Champions League game of 2018/19, securing them a competition record whether they prevail in Madrid or not. The Amsterdammers are the 29-goal top scorers in this season’s competition too, and have also won more games than any other side in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League: eight of their 14 matches.
Barcelona, meanwhile, are on target to replicate their class of 2005/06 as well as the 1998/99 and 2007/08 Manchester United teams, all of whom finished a 13-game UEFA Champions League campaign unbeaten.
UEFA.com surveys the single-season and overall record holders for the main UEFA men’s club competitions.
