Kano State High Court has affirmed it would deliver judgement on the murder case involving Frank Geng Quangrong, a Chinese national accused of murdering his ex-girl friend, Ummu Kulsum on March 29, National Daily Newspaper gathered.
The court, presided over by Justice Sunusi Ado Ma’aji fixed the judgment date after both the prosecution and defense counsel presented their final written addresses.
The prosecution counsel had presented six witnesses to support the allegations of culpable homicide, as enshrined under Section 221(b) of the penal code, against Quangrong.
The prosecution witnesses, including the deceased’s mother and sister, a neighbor, a doctor, and police Investigative Police Officers, testified about the events that transpired between Quangrong and Ummulkhulsum, especially on the day of September 16, 2022.
During his testimony, The chinese national Quangrong denied intentionally killing Ummulkhulsum.

He claimed that he stabbed her in self-defense after she grabbed his testes.
He pleaded with the court to temper justice with mercy in its judgment.
Additionally, a Urologist Consultant, Dr. Abubakar Abdullahi, was testified as subpoenaed witness, who in his expert testimony from over 30 years of experience, explained that prolonged pressure on the end nerves could cause changes in feelings.
He also mentioned that the release of adrenaline could lead to overstimulation of the vagus nerve, resulting in fright, fight, or flight responses.
The chinese national Quangrong was charged with killing Ummulkhulsum Sani Buhari following a misunderstanding at her residence, National Daily Newspaper gathered.
