NFF president Amaju Melvin Pinnick paid a short but unannounced visit to former chief executive officer of the NNL, Bukola Olopade at his palatial home in Lagos on friday to appeal to him to rethink his decision to resign for the good of Nigeria football,National Daily learnt.
Both men exchanged pleasantries and discussed at lenght on the way forward but Ozo as the former Ogun state commissioner of sports is fondly called, stood his ground, insisting on eight promoted clubs, while also pledging his support in finding an amicable solution to the crisis.
Meanwhile the meeting of key stakeholder of the NFF, LMC and NNL is presently ongoing in Lagos with chieftains of the NNL refusing to shift grounds on their stance.
