As bandits continue killing and kidnapping across the northwest, another governor has called on his citizens to acquire weapons and face down the bandits.
Katsina Gov. Aminu Bello Masari just joined Benue PDP Gov Samuel Ortom—who earlier proposed it in a key note address—in the call to arms.
“We must intensify prayers with clean minds to seek God’s forgiveness and intervention,” the APC said while visiting families of the 10 people men of the NCS killed during a chase at Jibiya last week.
“We must all rise up to counter the insecurity challenge, we must not seat and watch some people buying guns attacking our houses, we, too, should buy the guns and protect ourselves.”
Besides the two governors, Nigeria’s Defence Minister Bashir Magashi once told Nigerians to defend themselves against the bandits.
