Arsenal’s Osman Kamara completes permanent move to Blackburn Rovers

Arsenal confirmed on Monday that 19-year-old forward Osman Kamara has completed a permanent transfer to EFL Championship side Blackburn Rovers, marking the next stage in his professional career.

Kamara, who joined Arsenal’s youth setup in May 2014, signed his first professional contract with the North London club in June 2024.

During his time at Arsenal, he made 77 appearances across the under-18 and under-21 teams, scoring 21 goals and providing five assists, showcasing his potential as a promising attacking talent.

The young forward has also represented Sierra Leone at youth level, making his debut in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, and has been regarded as one of the bright prospects to emerge from Arsenal’s Academy.

In a statement, Arsenal expressed gratitude for Kamara’s contributions, saying: “We thank Osman for his contribution to the club during his time with us and wish him all the best for his next chapter with Blackburn Rovers.”

Kamara’s move to Blackburn offers him an opportunity for regular first-team football in England’s second tier as he seeks to continue his development and make an impact at senior level.
