Bandits invade residence of ASUU Chairman of Federal University, Gusau, kidnap six

Bandits on Wednesday invaded the residence of the ASUU Chairman in the Federal University of Gusau (FUGUS), Zamfara State, Abdurrahman Adamu, kidnapping six persons.

Five persons were said to be kidnapped from the ASUU chairman’s residence in Damba Quarters, Gusau, Zamfara State, as the bandits broke into the residence of Adamu in the early hours of Wednesday.

The bandits also kidnapped another staff in the bursary department of the university, who live close to the ASUU chairman.

It was disclosed that the ASUU chairman was not at on Tuesday night, thus, escaped being kidnapped by the bandits who invaded his redolence in the early hours of Wednesday.

The kidnapped victims at the residence of the ASUU chairman were identified as the younger brother, a niece, a nephew, and two of his wives’ younger sisters.

The sixth victim was identified as Abbas Umar, a neighbour, and a staff of Bursary Department in the university.

No death was recorded in the incident, though, the bandits were said to have searched the home for valuables.
