The transfer speculation of the England international Harry Kane has dominated the media space recently after Tottenham ended last season abysmally with their failure to enjoy any European competition in the coming season.

Meanwhile, the news reaching National Daily reveals that Kane will not agitate for a move from Tottenham this summer and would prefer to avoid any acrimony should he ultimately depart and seek a fresh challenge.

The 29-year-old’s future has remained and still remains a matter of intense speculation given he has just under 12 months left on his remaining contract.

Kane came close to leaving Spurs two years ago amid interest from Manchester City, but that potential route to the silverware he craves is now closed as a consequence of the treble winners now boasting the goalscoring talents of Erling Haaland.

The likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich remain interested in the 29-year-old, but Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is convinced he is capable of offering a package that would see Kane commit the remaining peak years of his carrer to his boyhood club.

Bayern appear to be the leading candidates to sign Kane should he ultimately decide the time is right to move on, but the Bundesliga champions are struggling to come up with an offer that would tempt Levy into selling.

Thomas Tuchel is said to have given an eye-opening pitch to Kane which has convinced England’s record goalscorer that his future could lie away from the north London.

The presence of Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea, meanwhile, as provided another twist to a saga that is unlikely to be resolved until the closing stages of the summer transfer window.

‘I don’t like to talk about players in another club, but you are talking about one of the greatest, one of the best strikers in the world,’ Pochettino said of Kane last week at his Chelsea unveiling.

‘It’s not fair to talk, it’s not fair to say nothing. People are not stupid, fans are not stupid, they are so clever and they know my relationship with him was always amazing.

‘I saw him when he was young, grow up and achieve all he was achieving and of course we have a great relationship.’

According to the Evening Standard, however, Kane has no intention of seeking a move across London to Stamford Bridge despite the obvious attraction of working again with the manager under whom he made his breakthrough.

Spurs, meanwhile, will press ahead with plans to tempt Kane with a new deal worth an eye-watering £400,000-a-week and offer the promise of a coaching role during the latter stages of his career.

The north London club, meanwhile, are due to jet off to Perth for the first leg of their pre-season tour this evening and Kane is set to be included in the squad.
