There have been continuous gunshots on Sunday at the Jos custodial centre of the Nigeria Correctional Service, (NCoS).
Our correspondent reports that the gunshots started at about 5:30pm.
The entire area is currently under tight security with heavily armed police officers seen monitoring movements.
When contacted over the development, the Spokesman of the State’s command of NCoS, Jeff Longdiem, promised to call later for more details.
