A British man has showered praises on former Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich after he helps to negotiate their release from prison in the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine in Europe. Roman Abramovich, is understood to help negotiate the release of 5 prisoners of war, who feared the worst after being captured by Russian forces in Ukraine according to the Mirror.
The five British men have been in the custody of the Russian soldiers who invaded Ukraine at the beginning of the year, but thankfully to God, they have been released in good health, and are back with their families.
One of the men, Andrew Hill, said that Roman Abramovich had helped secure their safety as part of a group involved in negotiating their release. He didn’t know much more about it but he was very grateful to the former Chelsea owner after he helped to negotiate with the Russian soldiers who took them captive in the war going on in Ukraine.
According to the Mirror, Andrew Hill also said that they were very scared and didn’t know what was going to happen to them, and they feared that the worst will happen to them.
“I have been afraid we might not have made it and we are very grateful to Abramovich for his help in securing our release.” – Andrew said in an interview with the Mirror after their release.
