As President Muhammadu Buhari plans to chair the colloquium to celebrate the 69th birthday of Bola Tinubu, political watchers are itching to hear Tinubu’s critics, especially Pa Ayo Adebanjo of Afenifere, respond.
The pan-Yoruba’s association leader has been categorical in damning the political alliance Buhari has with Tinubu.
The pact, critics say, is for Tinubu to take over from Buhari in 2023.
The former Lagos governor gave Buhari a vice president, and shouldered their 2015 victory in the southwest,
The APC national leader has not been forthright about 2023, though, leaving room for all kinds of navel-gazing and speculations.
“I have said it openly before and I would say it again that Buhari is deceiving Tinubu and Tinubu is deceiving Buhari,” the nonagenarian said recently.
But while the deceit lasts, Buhari will do his party man the honour on the 12th edition of the Bola Tinubu Colloquium coming on March 29.
To complicate things, V.P Yemi Osinbajo’s office is organizing it, virtually, according to reports.
Again, there are lots of divinations out there about the frosty relationship that now alienates Tinubu from his godson Osinbajo—because of 2023 APC presidential ticket.
