The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a stern warning to Nigerians to be vigilant against fraudulent recruitment portals as the ongoing intake process for the nation’s paramilitary agencies gathers momentum.

In a statement signed by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. AM Jibril (Rtd), CDCFIB emphasised that the only authorised platform for the exercise is https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.

According to Jibril, several unauthorised websites and social media links are currently being circulated by fraudsters with the sole aim of deceiving unsuspecting job seekers and extorting money from them.

“Applicants are strongly advised to disregard any other portal apart from the official recruitment site. The recruitment process will be completely transparent and free of charge. No applicant is required to pay any fee at any stage of the process,” he stated.

The CDCFIB reiterated its commitment to a fair and merit-based selection process, warning that those who patronise fake recruitment channels risk losing both their money and the opportunity to participate in the genuine exercise.

The ongoing recruitment covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), the Federal Fire Service (FFS), and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).

The Board urged the public to report any suspicious portal or solicitation for payment to the appropriate authorities to ensure that scammers are tracked and prosecuted.
