Chelsea defender injured, set to miss the rest of the season

News Hub Creator17reas Christensen has picked up an ACL injury and won’t be able to play again this season according to Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Andreas Christensen was injured in the first half of Chelsea champions league match against Lille yesterday and was replaced by Trevoh Chalobah. Chelsea won the match and has progressed to the Quarter final of the competition.

Andreas Christensen joins Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ben Chilwell on the sidelines. Andreas Christensen won’t be able t play again this season for Chelsea due to the injury also Reece James might as well be out of season.

Chelsea takes on Middlesbrough in the FA cup on Saturday and a win will take them to the next round of the FA cup competition. All players are fit to play except Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Andreas Christensen. Cesar Azpilicueta is back in the team and also Marcos Alonso.
