Chinese paddlers continue their dominance in the latest ITTF world rankings, claiming the top four spots in both men’s and women’s singles. Rising stars like Wen Ruibo and Satsuki Odo also made significant moves in the rankings.

Chinese table tennis players continue to dominate the sport as they claimed the top four positions in both the men’s and women’s singles events in the latest International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) world rankings, released on Tuesday.

In the men’s singles, China’s Wang Chuqin, Lin Shidong, Fan Zhendong, and Liang Jingkun secured the top four spots, with France’s Felix Lebrun and Brazil’s Hugo Calderano rounding out the top six.

Other notable players in the men’s top 10 include China’s Ma Long, Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto, Lin Gaoyuan of China, and Germany’s Patrick Franziska.

Among the rising stars, China’s 17-year-old Wen Ruibo made significant strides, climbing 42 places to reach a career-high No. 54 after finishing as the runner-up at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Contender Muscat tournament held last weekend.

On the women’s side, China once again claimed the top four positions, with Sun Yingsha, Wang Manyu, Chen Meng, and Wang Yidi occupying the first through fourth spots.

Japan’s Hina Hayata and Miwa Harimoto followed in fifth and sixth places, respectively.

The top 10 women’s rankings also featured China’s Chen Xingtong, Chinese Taipei’s Cheng I-Ching, Japan’s Mima Ito, and Japan’s Satsuki Odo, who made history by breaking into the world’s top 10 for the first time in her career.

China’s Kuai Man, who won the WTT Contender Muscat title, saw a remarkable rise of 44 places, moving up to No. 36. Meanwhile, her fellow countrywoman, Qian Tianyi, who finished as runner-up, climbed two spots to No. 12.

This latest ranking further solidifies China’s dominance in the global table tennis scene, with their players continuing to occupy the majority of top spots in both men’s and women’s singles events.
