Monday, December 2nd, 2024 will remain a memorable date in the annals of world evangelism and spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the uttermost parts of the earth. The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was not left out as the world witnessed a remarkable event tagged ReachOut World Day spearheaded by the President of Loveworld Inc. aka Christ Embassy Church, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
Speaking on the event at the zonal church of Christ Embassy Zone-1 Abuja, the Zonal Pastor, Dipo Fisho said, “This ground-breaking initiative of our President, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, aimed to spread the transformative message of God’s love to every corner of the globe within 24 hours through the distribution of the Rhapsody of Realities.”
As he explained, the event is a 24-hour period set aside to cover the whole world with the knowledge of the glory of God through the distribution of the Rhapsody of Realities daily devotional in all known languages (8,123) and dialects (4000) in an accountable way.
On the bigger scale as envisioned by our President, Pastor Chris, Dipo said, “Imagine a world where every person in every nation, every tribe and every language get to receive the life transforming message of the gospel. Imagine a world where the love of Christ resonates in the hearts of billions. This is the vision of ReachOut World Day, a day dedicated to covering the whole world with the message of the gospel in every language to every soul.
“Pastor Chris was very clear on why it’s so vital to reach the whole world in one day It is because time is of the essence. The world is changing rapidly and the opportunities we have today of spreading the gospel may not be there tomorrow. Wars, disasters and shifting political landscape can close doors in an instant. Since the fields are ripe for harvest (Mathew 9: 37-38), we cannot afford to wait but to move in to harvest.”
He said Pastor Chris made it clear that, “ReachOut World Day is a call to action, a day to seize the moment to leverage every resource, every technology and every voice to proclaim the gospel with urgency and passion because every soul is priceless. Every person on this planet is precious in the eyes of God. Jesus did not die for a select few, He gave His life for the entire world. We will go to any length to ensure the gospel reaches them no matter the language or the dialect they speak; they deserve to hear the good news of Christ.”
According to Pastor Dipo, “the Rhapsody of Realities, a daily devotional authored by Pastor Chris, is at the heart of this movement. And in all our catchments as a zone, we made sure no one is left out whether at work in the offices, at the markets, shops, by the road sides at the garages and loading spots you name it, we made sure the gospel of Jesus Christ gets to everyone irrespective of religion or tribe.
“We used ‘door-to-door’ and ‘neighbour-to-neighbour’ campaign strategy and that what gave us the sweeping coverage of the city centre and all our catchments including those at the outskirts in the area councils.
“As the Bible says in Habakkuk 2:14: For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” The earth was indeed filled with not only the knowledge of the glory of God but with His manifest power lavishly displayed across the nations of the world.”
Obviously with the excitement, acceptability, and success recorded today across our catchments, ReachOut World Day is sure to snowball into ReachOut World Month and we will make it happen as a zone, he said.
As explained by Nogie Osareti, the Group Pastor, Immanent in Love Group of the Zonal Church, “since its inception in 2007, Reach Out Campaigns have aimed to reach every individual in their world and language with the good news of hope and change. And Through these campaigns, Rhapsody of Realities is freely distributed during national holidays and celebrations, with volunteers organizing events and humanitarian projects to uplift communities.
“But the Reach Out World Day with Pastor Chris is more than an event; it is a global movement dedicated to spreading God’s love and Word to every corner of the earth ensuring no one is left out or rather left behind.”
Unequivocally the Rhapsody in its various formats has become a staple, a companion of religious and non-religious people alike. Through the Rhapsody, Pastor Chris continues to disciple the whole world including ministers of the gospel from other ministries who have found themselves enamoured by the unique teaching ministry of Pastor Chris.
Now the journey has just been started and the sight and sound of this event- ReachOut World Day as recorded by Christ Embassy Abuja Zone-1 churches in Abuja is just a beauty to behold. God bless Nigeria!
