One of the Election Monitors of the Anambra State governorship election, CLEEN Foundation, on Monday scored the Saturday election in the southeast very low. The Foundation at its post-election and preliminary assessment of the conduct of the election in Abuja, remarked that despite improvement noticed in the conduct of Saturday’s Governorship election in Anambra State, the process was marred by voters’ disenfranchisement and vote buying.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) crossed the average score in its preparations and conduct of the election except for the logistics failures in several local governments which caused the inconclusive election.

A glance of the result of the Anambra State Governorship shows that the candidate of the APGA, Prof. Charles Soludo, has a comfortable lead, trailed by the PDP candidate, Valentine Ozigbo.
