Brigadier General Francis Omota, Lagos Garrison, has opened up on the military onslaught of unarmed #EndSARS protesting Nigerian youths at the Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos, on Tuesday night. Omata who has been trending on the social media since the shooting on Tuesday as the Army Commander that led the team and ordered shooting disclosed that the team was allegedly led by the Lieutenant Colonel S.O. Bello, Commander of the 65 Battallion, Bonny Camp, Victoria Island.
Brigadier Omata was said to have explained that he was receiving calls from people that the Army were purportedly shooting protesters at the Lekki Toll Gate Victoria Island. He quickly rushed there and on approaching the scene was shouting his name loud for personal identification to avoid “friendly fire”, as he moved in to pull back the soldiers.
It was then, people picked his identity for publicity as the commanding officer that led the alleged soldiers in the onslaught of the youths.

It is obvious that these soldiers were from Lagos Garrison Command, The insigma was there for ALL to see on the Video. Usually, it is the nearest command that is assign to do Jobs like this. All military formations are familiar with this procedure. A costly mistake was carried out.
