The Katsina State Community Watch Corps has successfully intercepted a shipment of ammunition, thwarting a potential security threat.
According to the State Commissioner for Security, Alhaji Ibrahim Mu’azu, acting on intelligence, members of the Corps stopped a commercial vehicle with the registration number BTR 45 XA.
Upon inspection, they discovered a cache of ammunition hidden under a seat, which included 610 rounds of ammunition for AK-47 and General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) rifles, as well as two magazines.
A suspicious man, described as wearing white voile clothes, was identified as the individual responsible for concealing the ammunition. However, he managed to evade capture during the operation.

The Katsina State Government has commended the Community Watch Corps for their vigilance and commitment to maintaining peace and security in the state.
