Court convicts 35-year-old man to 56 years imprisonment in Ekiti

A State High Court in Ekiti has convicted a 35-year-old man, Daramola Oyindamola, on charges of fraud, forgery, impersonation, and other related offences, sentencing him to 56 years imprisonment.

The prosecutor, Akinola Abon, had charged and arraigned the convict, Oyindamola on a six-count charge of obtaining money under false pretense, stealing, procuring the execution of documents by false and making documents without authority.

Prosecutor Akinola Abon invited three witnesses during proceedings.

The Presiding Judge of the Ekiti State High Court, Justice Olusegun Ogunyemi, in his judgment in Ado-Ekiti, found Oyindamola guilty, sentencing him on six count charges. The judge noted that the evidence presented by the prosecution before the court are incontrovertible.

Justice Ogunyemi highlighted that Oyindamola was convicted and sentenced on count one to 7 years imprisonment, count two, not guilty; count three, 14 years imprisonment; count four, 14 years imprisonment; count five, 14 years imprisonment and count six, 7 years imprisonment.
