Cross Rivers Gov. Ben Ayade may finally admit his state has been infected with covid-19, after a state lawmaker died of complications suspected to those of the viral infection.
Hon Godwin Akwaji was admitted into the University Teaching Hospital Complex Thursday afternoon, after coughing, showing fatigue, and gasping for breath.
Apparently, Akwaji had an underlining conditions— diabetics.
He represented the Obudu constituency at the House of Assembly.
Cross Rivers was the last state in Nigeria where the pandemic hasn’t spread since it was first imported to Nigeria in February.
