In a bid to curtail the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), says effective from Monday 23rd March to 23rd April, 2020, the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and the Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport, Abuja will be closed to all international flights.
In a statement issued by the agency and made available to National Daily, said the new directives is in addition to the closure of Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu and the Port-Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa effective Saturday, 21st of March.
The statement signed by the Director General/CEO of NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu, explained that with the latest closure, all airports in Nigeria are closed to all incoming international flights with the exception of emergency and essential flights.
Captain Nuhu however, said domestic flights will continue normal operations at all airports, and are required to submit passenger manifest to Port Health Authorities prior to arrival of a flights into Nigeria.
