The crisis rocking the different movements for the independence of Biafra, particularly, between the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and the indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), beside others, has continued to deepen as the groups fail to find common ground for the struggle.

Apparently, the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL), has disowned the recent inauguration of Biafra Parliament by MASSOB, disassociated its members from the activities of MASSOB in Cross River and Akwa Ibom States. The League cautioned Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, MASSOB leader, to desist from creating confusion in the struggle for the sovereign state of Biafra.

BNYL Deputy National Leader and Director of Operations, Biafra Broadcasting Service (BBS), Ebuta Takon Akor, at press conference in Ikom, Cross River State, encouraged Uwazuruike to limit his activities to the title of “Eze Ndigbo” and stop imposing Biafran leaders on Cross River State indigenes, as well as the south-south people.

Akor declared that anyone that holds the title of “Eze Ndigbo”, “Obong Efik” or “Amanyanabo Ijaw” is disqualified from Biafra leadership. He warned that the BNYL will not allow any group of persons to manipulate the struggle for Biafran independence for selfish gains.

Akor argued that there cannot a parliament where parliament already exists. He advocated for cooperation of all agitators to take over existing parliaments in the various states in the Biafran territory.

Ebuta Takon Akor declared: “It is unheard of, you can’t have a Parliament in an existing Parliament, all we should do is to come together as groups and plan on how to take over our states Parliaments, politically, by sacking those who don’t support us and get our people into  Parliament to pass bill on Biafra. If they don’t, we will revolt against them in all ramifications.”

Ebuta Takon Akor maintained that the Uwazurike parliament is illegal and invalid until Biafra is established as a sovereign entity.
