Deputy Governor of Delta State, Barr (Dcn) Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, has declared his commitment to serve the state and the people the more after the end of the second tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in 2023. The deputy governor disclosed the renewed commitment after purchasing the governorship nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta State for the 2023 general elections.
Otuaro purchasing the nomination form, declared, “l have committed my life to serve Delta people.”
Deputy Governor Otuaro, a governorship aspirant on the PDP platform, promised to unfasten and maximize the enormous industrial capacities of the state, stimulate peace and consensus among the people, for economic growth and development in Delta State.
Deputy Governor Otuaro was at the PDP National Secretariat, Abuja, on Friday, 24th of March 2022, to pick the nomination and expression of interest form for the 2023 governorship election in Delta State.
The deputy governor emphasized that he has devoted greater part of his life to the service of Delta State in the past six years, adding that he is aspiring to be the next governor of the state with deep sense of responsibility. Otuaro said that the experience of being in the government house over the years has exposed him to the conditions and needs of the people of the state.
Deputy Governor Otuaro highlighted: “it is practically impossible to engineer sustainable progress without understanding the plights of yesteryear and the demands of the future. For the last six years, I have committed a great deal of my life in the service of our dear state, as a deputy governor with a deep sense of responsibility.
“Today, I made an even greater commitment as I picked up my nomination form today at our party’s national secretariat in Abuja in the company of friends and supporters as a further step towards the actualization of our vision for an industrialized Delta.
“Within the past 18 months, I have consulted our elders, women, youths, and critical stakeholders across the state to run for the office of the Governor of Delta State in 2023. The outcome of these interactions and discussion is what forms my campaign theme: “Build Better for Delta”, which represents their yearnings and aspiration, hence, unlocking and maximizing the massive industrial potentials of our state and promoting peace and oneness that savor the beauty of our unique cultural diversities.
“After two decades in peace building, working with leaders and strategic partners at all levels to rebuild communities and reunite people and with proven knowledge and understanding of the effective governance process, I am now presenting myself as the most outstanding and dependable trustee of our people in the 2023 governorship election.
“It is a task. I have profound confidence in it. I believe that ‘entrusted leadership’ is the people’s power. Consequently, I call on all Deltans to join the KBO train which represents the peoples’ mandate. I count on the grace of the almighty God and the support of patriotic Deltans through prayers and physical support. I equally solicit the support of faithful men, delegates, and other stakeholders of our party ahead of the primaries. Together, we can secure the best deal for Delta and Deltans.”
Otuaro is representing Delta South in the governorship race, beside other aspirants.
