Early rehearsals of King’s coronation in Buckingham Palace raise global curiosity

Preliminary coronation activities in the early hours of Wednesday at the Buckingham Palace for the formal enthronement of King Charles on May 6, thrilled several royal fans who were at the scene to observe preparations for the official coronation. The rehearsals generated global curiosity of the high expectations of the coming of the new King of England.

National Daily gathered that British Army in their hundreds, several on horseback, conducted a parade from Buckingham palace through Trafalgar Square and Downing Street to Westminster Abbey.

Also, the Diamond Jubilee State Coach and Gold State Coach were rolled down the Mall to the admiration of royal fans, signalling formal preparations for the King’s coronation on May 6.

Hundreds of soldiers on horseback, guided the Diamond Jubilee State Coach, while being conveyed along the Mall, about 12.20am on Wednesday.

It was gathered that royal fans waited over three hours for the return of the parade guard from the Mall.

Crowds gathered along St James’ Park, struggling to find the best spots near the palace, while several others were curious to sight their relations in military outfit.

Soldiers in hundreds mobilised from the UK Army, Navy and RAF engaged in parade across Central London, stopping along Whitehall and standing in silence.

Many others were said to have carried different instruments, including saxophones, trumpets, horns and cymbals; however, only the drums were played by the soldiers on parade until they returned to the Mall after 3.00am.

Soldiers dressed in bright yellow uniforms, commenced the parade with short journey, having the brass band on horseback performing while accompanying the stage coach through Westminster.

At about 1.00am, Soldiers from different regiments were on parade down the Mall.

Soldiers maintained quiet protocol, ensured that there was pacific silence at Buckingham Palace till a regiment playing the bagpipes commenced performance shortly after 2.30am.

Meanwhile, many leaders in the world, including President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria have arrive the United Kingdom for the king’s coronation on Saturday.
