Elections are not war, Obi declares, expressing disapproval of the desperation of other political parties for power towards the Saturday, September 21 governorship election in Edo State.
Obi asserted that elections are “opportunities to present authentic leadership and drive meaningful development.”
Obi decried, what he considered troubling comments after the campaigns.
According to him “One party admits to having packaged fake leaders in the past—who knows what they offer now, perhaps expired ones—while another insists it is a do-or-die affair.”

Obi maintained: “At Labour Party, we offer genuine leadership built on competence, capacity and compassion.”
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, in a brief statement declared @PeterObi, “As campaign for the Edo governorship election on 21st September 2024 comes to an end today, troubling comments continue to emerge.
“One party admits to having packaged fake leaders in the past—who knows what they offer now, perhaps expired ones—while another insists it is a do-or-die affair.
