A London Magistrate Court has rejected the bail applications of Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice, who are facing trial over charges of human trafficking with an intention to harvest an organ of a boy.
The London Metropolitan Police on Thursday announced the arrest of the former Deputy Senate President and his wife who allegedly trafficked a 15-year-old boy with the intention to harvest his organs.

The couple was charged promptly before a court in Uxbridge.
Ekweremadu appeared before a magistrate on Thursday afternoon and was denied bail.
The case was subsequently adjourned until July 7.
