As anger and violence rage across the nation, Lagos rolls into day 2 of violence in the weeks-long anti-SARS protests many Nigerians describe as peaceful—until October 20.

With a curfew in place and anti-riot police men all over the state, destruction and shooting and killing continue as protesters defy the order.

No fewer than seven protesters have been reportedly killed by Nigerian soldiers (the army denied this) at the Lekki Toll Plaza the protesters occupied for two weeks before the curfew. More than seven people, including policemen and protesters were killed in the Orile area of the metropolis.

Early Wednesday, angry youth again attacked a BRT station in the Oyingbo area of the state, torching buses.
