Erik ten Hag worries at Manchester United have continued. It is believed that the manager still have concerns at over the attitudes ‘of at least a couple’ of players at the club. This is coming after Jadon Sancho has been exiled.

The 53-year-old has earned a reputation as a tough disciplinarian in his first 18 months at the Old Trafford. England winger Jadon Sancho has emerged as the latest to feel the wrath of the Dutchman.

Ten Hag has initially been sympathetic towards the £72million winger’s struggles off the pitch. But his patience appears to have grown thin having banned Sancho from using all first team facilities until he apologizes.

Sancho missed out of the matchday squad for United’s 3-1 defeat at Arsenal earlier this month. This was following his failure to live up to his manager’s expectations in training.

The 23-year-old has only recently deleted his social media post in which he took issue with his manager’s claims but he will not be welcomed back into the fold until an apology is forthcoming.

Sancho’s punishment and the severity of it has reportedly been questioned by several United players. But the manager hopes his banishment will act as a warning to anyone else who steps out of line. And United’s former striker Dimitar Berbatov believes the Ten Hag has perfectly handled the Sancho situation.

Berbatov said: ‘When you know you’re not producing, you can be angry with yourself and your manager. And this can lead to a bust-up like this.

‘The manager makes the decisions. And if Sancho doesn’t apologise to Ten Hag publicly or privately and understands his mistake the right way. Once he’s done that, he needs to earn his place in the team. And the only way to do that is by training harder and playing well when the chance arises.’

However, ESPN now report that Ten Hag still have reservations about several members of his first team squad. These players appeared not to be 100% on board with his methods.

Ten Hag has been relieved from pressure after two successive wins over Burnley and Crystal Palace.
