The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Abudul-Majid Ali, has assured Nigerians of a rejuvenated police force in 2016.

Ali told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after a visit to the Hi-Impact Amusement Park in Magboro, Ogun.

On what Nigerians should expect from the police command in 2016, Ali said, ”We had a lot of ups and down last year, but this year will be different.

”This year, 2016, we are quite sure and hopeful that it will be a different one. The government has put everything that will make it a peaceful one in place.

”I want Nigerians to be hopeful that there is light at the end of the tunnel. We are going to experience a general overhauling of the nation’s security outfit.

”We will see a repositioned and a rejuvenated Nigerian Police that everyone will be proud of,” he said.

Ali also urged Nigerians to patronise homemade facilities, which he said were of the same qualities with what they usually travel overseas to spend more on.

”All what most Nigerians travel overseas to see is here and we are lucky with the present government that said you must use what you have at home and not travel outside.

”As time goes on, Nigerians will prefer to remain in the country and enjoy what they have rather than travelling to Dubai in the United Arab Emirate(UAE) and other countries for the same thing,’’ he said.

Ali said he and his family members were at the park to enjoy the New Year holiday having certified it fit following the security arrangements put in place by its operators.

”This my second visit here after my first visit which was to see for myself the security arrangements and I am fully satisfied,” he said.
