Fenerbahce officials are in Italy to finalise the transfer of Nigerian international Ademola Lookman from Atalanta, according to reports by Football Italia.

The Turkish Super Lig club is being led by Director of Sport Devin Ozek, who is spearheading negotiations for the winger. Fenerbahce is reportedly prepared to offer Lookman a salary of €9 million per season.

Atalanta, who recently signed Giacomo Raspadori from Spanish side Atletico Madrid, are reportedly open to selling Lookman this summer. Fenerbahce’s proposal involves a loan deal with an obligation to buy, structured with a €5 million loan fee and a further €35 million to be paid later in the summer.

Lookman, who had previously pushed to leave Atalanta for Inter Milan last summer, is expected to complete the move if terms are agreed.

The deal, if finalised, would see Fenerbahce bolster their attacking options ahead of the new Turkish league season.
