Folasade Yemi-Esan, the head of service of the federation, has asked all civil servants to resume on December 1, a circular released on Friday stated.
Yemi-Esan directed all workers from Grade Level 12 and below to return to the office on the same date and ensure they get vaccinated before resumption.
The federal government in February had directed all federal civil service workers on grade level 12 and below to work from home following the COVID-19 outbreak.
“All civil servants are requested “to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination or present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result done within 72 hours,” the circular added.
“It will be recalled that as part of the measures to curtail the spread of COVID-19 Pandemic, Officers on GL 12 and below were directed to work from home. Following the advice of the PSC on COVID-19, this category of Officers are expected to resume duties on Wednesday, 1st December 2021.”

It seems we enjoy chasing shadow and not addressing issues from the sources. What Nigerians need urgently now is good feeding and reduction in the cost of living. Let government brings down the cost of living, enforce control on power generating process, transport fares and address the socioeconomic problems in the country and the COVID will be a thing of the past. We continue to task the public for everything without considering the effects of these on the income and welfare of citizens. The state of our health facilities is a sorry case. Those in position of power have access to good health facilities and welfare yet they are high in rank of those infected with COVID. Imagine what would have happened to common man without means to take care of himself/herself?
