The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has disclosed that the International Organisation for Migration, IOM, in conjunction with the Embassy of Nigeria in Tripoli, Libya is set to repatriate 330 illegal Nigerian migrants from Tripoli, Libya to Lagos, on Thursday, February 28, 2019.
The returnees are scheduled to be flown simultaneously on board two chartered Buraq Airline flights and are expected to arrive Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos at about 4.30pm.
On arrival, the returnees would be received by officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS, and other relevant agencies.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs assured the public that the Embassy of Nigeria in Tripoli, Libya, in collaboration with relevant authorities, remain committed to addressing the scourge of irregular migration by Nigerians.
