The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to tackling certificate fraud in neighboring countries and streamlining the scholarship process for Nigerian students.
Minister of State for Education, Tanko Sununu, made this pledge during a meeting with the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students Diaspora (NANS Diaspora).
Sununu expressed concern over the rampant certificate racketeering in countries like Benin Republic and Togo, which has negatively impacted the reputation of Nigerian qualifications.
He assured that the government is taking steps to address this issue.

The minister also acknowledged the challenges faced by Nigerian students in securing scholarships.
He emphasized the government’s dedication to improving the scholarship application process to ensure that deserving students receive the necessary support.
