Reports indicate that Bello was brought to Abuja earlier today by the current Kogi State Governor, Usman Ododo, who personally invited the EFCC to take him into custody.
Bello is currently being questioned in connection with allegations of misappropriating state funds during his tenure as governor.
He was arrested shortly after surrendering to the anti-graft agency on Tuesday afternoon.
