A collision between a Mazda commercial bus and a Toyota car on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway resulted in four individuals sustaining injuries on Sunday afternoon.
The accident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety in the area.
William Manga, the unit commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Badagry, confirmed the incident occurred around 3:20 p.m. near the Agbo-Malu Bus Stop on the Age-Mowo axis of the expressway.
According to Manga, the FRSC was alerted to the accident and arrived at the scene just three minutes later.
The collision involved a Mazda bus with the registration number ABJ 95 YJ and a Toyota car with the registration number KTU 339 YJ, both traveling from Badagry.

In total, 18 individuals were involved in the crash, with four requiring medical attention.
The injured were promptly transported to General Hospital in Badagry for treatment.
Manga attributed the accident to dangerous driving by both drivers and noted that the vehicles involved had been removed and taken to the FRSC office in Badagry.
He urged passengers to encourage safe driving practices and advised motorists to remain vigilant about their speed on the one-lane expressway.
