Gabon pays N376,500 minimum wage, Equatorial Guinea N323,878; see MW in other oil producing African countries

Gabon, a Central African country, leads in the payment of Minimum Wage in top oil producing countries in Africa, in Naira equivalent, paying N376,500, while Equatorial Guinea follows with N323,878 and Libya N313,440.

The Organized Labour in Nigeria in the current struggle for new Minimum Wage is demanding N494,000 monthly wage, though, still negotiable with the federal government, which is offering N60,000, that is 100% of the current N30,000 MW.

Meanwhile, an elder statesman and industrialist, Atedo Peterside, has expressed the view that @AtedoPeterside โ€œThe Nigerian minimum wage negotiations were going to be unnecessarily difficult because FG โ€œpoisonedโ€ the atmosphere for responsible negotiations by approving a reckless N90 billion Hajj Subsidy, Luxury SUVs for Legislators etc., thereby, creating the false impression that FG was rich.โ€
