President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, has extended warm congratulations to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the occasion of his 74th birthday, describing him as an audacious and visionary leader committed to resetting Nigeria’s trajectory.
In a personally signed congratulatory message issued on Saturday, Akpabio lauded the President’s resilience, reform-driven agenda and unwavering commitment to national development.
“On behalf of my family, the wonderful people of Akwa Ibom North West, the Senate and indeed the 10th National Assembly, I wish to heartily rejoice and dutifully felicitate the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria – Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the occasion of his 74th birthday,” Akpabio stated.
The Senate President expressed gratitude for the President’s good health and continued strength, noting that reaching the milestone age was a source of joy not only to his family and associates but also to the nation at large.
“It is a thing of joy to see you reach this age in good health in mind and in body,” he said, while offering prayers for divine wisdom and strength for the President to effectively steer the affairs of the country.
Akpabio described Tinubu as a leader with the “Midas touch” and a bold reformer whose determination to reposition Nigeria remains evident.
“Mr. President, I must admit that you are an audacious and visionary leader, whose quest to set the nation on a transformational pedestal is never in doubt,” he added.
Reflecting on their working relationship, Akpabio said he had witnessed first-hand the President’s passion for Nigeria’s progress, describing it as inspiring and contagious. He noted that Tinubu’s advocacy for democratic values and implementation of bold economic reforms, though challenging, were already beginning to produce positive outcomes.
“You have demonstrated astute leadership, advocating for democratic values and bold economic reforms. Although the reforms came at a cost, there is certainly light at the end of the tunnel as they have already started yielding dividends,” he stated.
