It has remained a terrible nightmare at Old Trafford presently owing to the club’s disastrous start to the season.

United have witnessed their worst football record since the last 30 years as they sit  12th on the EPL table and only two points above relegation zone.

Obviously, no one would have seen this coming especially after their huge business dealing at the last summer transfer window that brought in Harry Maguire for £80m (making him the world most expensive defender), Daniel James for £15m and Aaron Wan-Bissaka for £50m.

Against the Red Devil’s fans expectations, the football fortune of the club has remained horrendous. The sad situation has left little or nothing to desire with many pointing accusing fingers in different directions.

While some blame the misfortune on the manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, others blame it on the Executive Vice Chairman, Ed Woodward. But the only solution now is to look for a critical way for remedy that will restore the Old Trafford club to its lost glory.

In a bid for remedy, National Daily gathered that Sir Alex Ferguson has finally opened up when he questions the club’s failure to sign Aston Villa star John McGinn, and is set to tell the club to snap him up should his form continue.

That’s according to legendary Scottish scout Bobby Jenks, who claims Ferguson rates the midfielder highly and will be keeping a close eye on his development.

Jenks recommended McGinn to Aston Villa back in 2017, with the Midlands club signing the Glaswegian from Hibernian a year later for a bargain £2.75million.

McGinn has adapted perfectly to life in the Premier League since joining Villa, and has already netted three times from midfield in eight top flight appearances.

Should his form continue, then Jenks is confident Ferguson will inform Manchester United and advise them to make a move for the Scot.

“He’s up there with the best-performing midfielders in the division. Wait until he’s had a year at that level and then we can say more,” Jenks told The Athletic.

“What I do know is that Sir Alex Ferguson is wondering why Manchester United let a talented Scottish boy slip through.

“He’ll be keeping a close eye on him that’s for sure and if he continues the way he is, you can bet he’ll be telling his pals at United, too.”
