Governor Babajide Sanwoolu of Lagos State on Thursday changed his decision on the refusal to comply with one of the directives of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 which relate to reopening of churches and mosques in the country. The Lagos State Governor on Thursday ordered that Mosques may reopen from June 19 while Churches can resume on June 21.
Governor Samwo-Olu at a press briefing at the State House on Thursday, insisted that crowd at worship centres must not be more than 40% of their capacity; giving additional conditions that children below 15 and the elderly from 65 years and above are restrained from participating at religious gatherings.
