Governor Nyesom Wikle of Rivers State has declared open war with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Chairman, Prince Uche Seconds, who is under pressure to resign from office. Governor Wike at a press conference declared support for the agitations for Secondus’s resignation as PDD national chairman.
Governor Wike decried that Secondus has not performed since in office. He protested that the PDP national chairman has not taken advantage of the failures of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to better the PDP image and position the party for 2023.

Wike had protested: “Has Uche Secondus lived up to the expectations of Nigerians who are sincerely tired of the maladministration of APC?
“Has Uche Secondus’s presence spurred the party to be more trusted and reliable to be given Leadership of this country in 2023?

“Is the current leadership of PDP at the National level capitalising on the failures of APC to build the success of PDP in 2023?

“Is PDP actively playing the Opposition role in Nigeria under Uche Secondus? The answer to these questions is in your heart. For me, it is a big No.”

according to the Rivers Governor: “millions of Nigerians who are mere watchers and admirers of the two political parties will agree with Governor Nyesom Wike that PDP under Uche Secondus is like a GOtv remote without a battery and even if there is a battery, the sensor have failed to communicate with the device/machine.”

The governor lamented that Uche Secondus turned himself into a political businessman, abandoned his core mandate of building PDP to becoming the best political party and the only option for Nigerians to join hands together to save this country that is being destroyed by APC and President Buhari.

“Uche Secondus failed to understand that Nigerians are tired of his Press Releases and want actions that will continue to upset APC,” Wike declared.

The Governor insisted that “if nobody wants to treat the Malaria in PDP, Wike has declared his interest to treat it and have to be supported by well-meaning Nigerians tired of the lacklustre performance of the party chairman over the last three years.

“You may hate Governor Nyesom Wike’s style of Governance in Rivers State, probably because you don’t like his face or because he is an Ikwerre man, but if you hate his style of Politics, then something is really wrong with you.

“Wike is one Politician that will come open to support you and when you go astray, he will be the first to hunt you and ensure that you feel the heat and his rejection of your kind of leadership.”

The governor narrated that he supported Senator Ali Modu Sheriff to become PDP interim national chairman; noting: “and when he sensed his evil motives,  Governor Wike was the first and only Governor that wrested power from Sheriff, saved the party from collapsing and ensured that the current National Chairman, Uche Secondus, is elected to man the affairs of the party in Nigeria.”

The governor is now withdrawing his support from Secondus, his kinsman from Rivers State.

Governor Wile emphasized that the #EndSARS protest would have been a perfect opportunity for PDP at the national level to capitalise on to build on the trust of Nigerians, used that season to engage with Nigerians, give them hope through open plans of the party if they are given the opportunity to return back in 2023; he lamented: “instead he was busy selling our members to APC, enrich himself and even snubbed other Executive members.”

Gov. Wike maintained that he  is a typical Ikwerre man who understands the importance of sending a family member to represent the family in a community meeting. “If the member fails to represent the family, a typical Ikwerre family will call for a general meeting and announce that they have withdrawn their member as representative of the family in the community meeting.

“Nigerians should learn Wike’s style of Politics, he does not hide his feelings and he’s ready to come out open fight you  if you disappoint or betray him.

“He once supported Uche Secondus and he has seen that Nigerians who want an active opposition party is tired and feel betrayed by the lackluster performance of Uche Secondus as Chairman of the party, he is calling for his resignation,” Wike declared.”
