Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State on Wednesday marked his birthday without fanfare, perhaps in acknowledgment of the prevailing hardship on Nigerian citizens across the country.
The governor, however, explained: “This decision remains my personal principle whether I am in office as Governor or out of office. I enjoin you all to respect my wishes on this occasion.”
